School Meals: An investment to support the learner and their learning is founded on the principle that healthy and well-nourished schoolchildren learn better. Investing in the first 1,000 days of life, from conception to age two, is vitally important, and further investment during the next 7,000 days (or up to age 21) sustains and builds upon the gains achieved from earlier intervention and to respond to the developmental changes that occur as children and adolescents mature.
